Neuspeed's Short Shift Kit consists of a new Audi/VW shift housing with the Neuspeed billet steel short shift lever pre-installed. The Neuspeed lever is approximately 1/2" shorter than stock and also features a re-designed pivot point. The result is a throw reduction of approx. 35%. A carefully calibrated counterweight machined into the lever preserves the solid feel of the factory shifter.
Notes :
If your factory shift lever features a push-down reverse gear gate, this is the correct short shifter for your car. Once the Neuspeed shift kit is installed, you will no longer have the push down reverse gear gate. Instead, your shifter will be upgraded to the later A4/Passat shifter design that has a spring tension reverse gear lockout.
